Needle and Pretty Thread

The most memorable scene of the Sex And The City movie for me was the Carrie Bradshaw apartment-makeover one (I don't really remember the rest of the film standing out..) but even so, I wasn't overly impressed by the new-look pad - for one, I wouldn't have chosen that shade of blue. The one object I did, however, really love (appropriately) was the "Love Too" wall hanging (as above) which has been blogged about forever by so many people ever since it was spotted. So I'm not adding anything new to that - yes, it's by Paul Smith, yes it's very expensive, yes, you can get it at the Rug Store - but what I decided to do was make my own little Love tapestry...

...Here! Now this is just a little one and was essentially a practice run - I'm now making a bigger one which will hopefully go up on the lounge wall above the white glossy low TV unit. Cross stitch is sort of getting everywhere, now that I've opened my eyes to it (I've just finished a big fat initial "M" for baby nephew's nursery) - Next Home has a twee little "Home Sweet Home" cross stitch cushion, but it would be so easy to do yourself and then it really is part of your home. Anyway, I'll post a pic when my big Love tapestry is finished. Am loving being able to bring out my "stitch" bag on the train - it whiles away the journeys out of town.

MY sweet - are you doing lots of long trips? Cross stitch is at least more productive than a i-pod and Heat magazine. XX

I loved that Love tapestry, too! The apartment makeover part of the movie was one of my favorite parts. While I wouldn't paint any of my rooms that color, I thought her apartment looked pretty fabulous.

oh cool! I remember doing cross stitch when I was young... maybe I'll take it up again too! (although might be tricky doing it on my walk into work!) x

Cross stitch really is my new favourite thing. I know mine hardly compares to the Paul smith love, but hey!

Aww, yours is so sweet... I'm going to go out on a limb and say yours will be better than the Paul Smith one – it's got a bit too much going on ;)

Looking forward to seeing the big version!

The fashion industry is always been looking for more replica handbags made by the company, and if you will have one such replica louis vuitton with you, you will become a part of this fashion world. It is not that easy to attract people and get their attention these days, but if you have any such replica handbags then you can surely be the center of attention of most people. They would be envying you for the kind of taste and style you have with your replica bags .
