I never thought there would come a time when I'd get so excited about a chopping board, but how cool is this? I love Joseph Joseph - bright, long-lasting and great for small spaces (like their collapsible colanders and their workspace savers (I have the one with the bright spatula print all over) - but the downside is it is a bit expensive. The chopping board is £42. £42? My cousin suggested rounding up 42 friends, getting them all to donate a £1 and then buying it as a mass birthday present. I nearly agreed, until I realised that despite how cool it is, I simply can't have a chopping board for a birthday present. Never mind. Something for later, maybe...

You have at least 42 friends? Impressive statistic dear. Using above criteria I anticipate getting a set of (possibly) 4 Linda Barker mugs from Home Bargains.
I've wanted this chopping board set for aaaages! Every time I look at it, I see the price tag and think 'I just can't do it...or can I?' ...and then I put it down and go off thinking maybe I should've.

I know. It's hard to give it justice in a picture. Who knew a chopping board could be so coveted?! It's the way it's so neat and everything slots into its own little compartment - genius!
@me.and.my.family - alas, I don't think I do!
