Sack it

Would you sit on a sack bag? Photographer Leo Ribbens would. His Antwerp apartment was recently featured in the Guardian - he made the cushions on the sofa above from empty rice sacks that he got in India and China and then stuffed them with Ikea cushions. Clever, huh. It's certainly not something cosy and comfortable that I'd choose for myself, but it's admirable for originality!

It's something Chocolate Creative (drool-worthy name) are doing too - the London based duo Kate and Margarita use things like coffee sacks to make their cushions. Visit their lovely blog for a discount code on orders

I've seen French flour sack cushions rather like this for sale, and I think they look quite lovely - the rustic rough white linen look with a red or blue stripe. And they also feature in books on how to be chic on a shoestring, whose authors clearly haven't seen how much they cost or have a ready supply of old French flour sacks. Alas, I don't.

omg, what a coincidence! we just bought a sofa for our new house which is upholstered in french grain sacks! It was from the Old Cinema in Chiswick, it looks lovely but I have to admit somewhat itchy!!
I will have to post a pic of it soon! x

They look like they could be scratchy. But I like the idea.

I love this sofa! I've had a thing for grain sacks for a while. There seem to be more and more of them around these days. I'm trying to resist the urge to buy into another trend but photos like these don't help!

The effect can last up to four hours, so taking Viagra online the day that you would like to have sex will ensure that cheap Viagra can work effectively for you. Don't worry that it will because you to have an erection before you are ready for one - Buy Cialis works in conjunction with sexual stimulation.

Wow - a pillow that weighs 50kg is a bit unmanageable.
