Daisies, strawberries and cake

Yesterday, I took along some Her Little Place lemon and lavender cake to Hyde Park for a picnic in the evening sun. The cake got eaten, but still, cute packaging, no?

Beautiful! I made the cake minus the lavender (because of a colleagues allergy) for my husband to take to work when he passed his PhD. His colleague and friend of ours asked me for the recipe, and her mother(who lives with her and her husband) apparently ate half of it in one day. I'd call that a success!!

I am going to make it with the lavender as well though!

Sorry lisa-marie, left you a comment but full of iPhone typos. That's lovely that you made it- it's worth trying with lavender although the difference is only subtle (you don't want the lavender to be too overpowering). I don't like refined icing sugar so have switched to making a crunchy lemon topping with unrefined granulated sugar- adds to texture, first the bite, then the moist zestyness. I myself have made three this week alone- one for the picnic as above, one for my editor, and one for a BBQ later today! Perfect for summer x

louis vuitton bag has been a bestseller almost continually since then. But remember, before there was Louis vuitton bags , there was louis vuitton handbags Vuitton started his empire as a layetier, outfitting French bergouisie with louis vuitton .
